Carol Godshall

After decades of experience as a special education and general teacher, Carol Godshall returned to school to pursue new career opportunities in psychology. Ms. Godshall entered the master's program in clinical psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles, finishing her studies in the summer of 2011. While enrolled, Carol Godshall completed courses in adolescent development, family psychology, and issues concerning individuals who are gay, lesbian, transgender, or bisexual. Carol Godshall has also gained her certification as a Highly Qualified Teacher form California Dept. of Education, where professional graduate studies included cultural representation of the populations educators typically work with.

Beyond her academic foundation, Carol Godshall has prepared for future work by serving as a practicum school counselor, which afforded her the opportunity to have private and confidential conversations with staff members, students, and their parents for the purpose of improving student school performance. While there she held individual and group meetings with pupils. Her previous experience includes intake counseling at the William Temple House, in Portland, Oregon, where she worked primarily with families that were economically disadvantaged. She belongs to several professional organizations, among them the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and American Psychological Association.
