Caroline Schrader

Caroline Schrader is a wine writer and journalist for the Sun-Times media group in Chicago, IL. She is the author of a monthly food and wine column as well as the blog "Drink More Wine" at www.carolineschrader.com. Caroline's blog is followed internationally, with followers in over 40 countries. The blog focuses on learning about food and wine in a friendly environment. In addition, Caroline has had the opportunity to interview winemakers from around the world, most recently from Israel, California, and Illinois. She shares these stories in her column and blog.

In July 2012, Caroline became a member of the Guild of Sommeliers, earning her Level 1 sommelier certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers, the internationally recognized organization for wine studies and wine service.

Currently, Caroline is a wine consultant at The Village Cellar in Hinsdale, IL, assisting with wine and food pairings, private and public tastings, and blog/ website development.
