I'm a freelance editorial director working with both startup and Fortune 500 clients on brand storytelling, event curation, and innovative product launches.
Previously I worked at Google, leading influencer outreach strategy, event partnerships, and liaisons with the social media business world for Google+. I was also managing editor of Think Quarterly, Google's compendium of insights and digital trends for the marketplace, which I helped to launch in the summer of 2011. I was named to Forbes magazine's "30 Under 30 In Media" list in December 2011, serve on the advisory board for Social Media Week New York and regularly speak and write about social media, online communities, the outdoors, and 21st-century travel (check out "I Live Nowhere" from IgniteNYC).
I also spent 5 years as a journalist for CNET.com, a division of CBS, covering entrepreneurship, social media, and digital advertising in NYC and the Bay Area. I have appeared on MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," NBC's "Today Show," CBS' "The Early Show," and NPR's "Talk of the Nation," among many others. I was twice named to Business Insider's "Silicon Alley 100" list.
I am vice chair of the board of directors at MOUSE, a nonprofit that empowers inner-city students to improve their schools through technology, and a global ambassador for Ladies Trekking, which connects women who love the outdoors with causes in the places where they climb. I've also done work with Camp Interactive and was a member of their New York Marathon team in 2010. In 2012 I led Google+'s support for Samasource and served on the host committee for their annual gala.
I'm a proud alum of Princeton University, where I majored in history of science and creative writing. I was also a member of the varsity crew team.
