Carolyn Jeanette Stein

Carolyn Jeanette Stein hails from the suburbs of Chicago where she began studying voice at the age of eleven. Ms. Stein has sung with the Chautauqua Institution, Pine Mountain Music Festival, Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Boston, Chicago Opera Theater, Ravinia Steans Music Institute and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Carolyn holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory, where she was awarded the Helen Haxton Stare Presidential Scholarship. Prior to her work at NEC, Carolyn studied at the Manhattan School of Music and the Salzburg Mozarteum. In addition to her classical roles, she was a member of the American Musical Theater Ensemble in New York. Carolyn's upcoming engagements include Oklahoma!, Otello, and Parsifal at Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Carolyn Jeanette Stein is a voice teacher seeking new students in the Chicago metro area and Northern suburbs with a passion for singing and joy for making music- all levels welcome. Ms. Stein is currently accepting students of all different musical backgrounds who wish to develop a healthy tension-free vocal technique, stage confidence, and musical expression. All styles of repertoire are encouraged (musical theater, pop, classical, etc).
