I am Carrie Rocha and I lead PocketYourDollars.com to help middle America learn to live within their means.

In June 2006 my husband and I decided to get out of $50,000+ in debt. It took exactly 30 months, or 2.5 years, for us to pay off all that debt. We changed our attitude toward money and dramatically reduced our expense. I started Pocket Your Dollars in March 2009 to share what we'd learned along the way.

Prior to Pocket Your Dollars I was the COO at a Minneapolis-based non-profit. Prior to that I lived in the Peruvian Amazon (yes, for real). My Brazilian husband, two daughters and I dream of moving to his hometown of Rio de Janiero one day.
