A veteran journalist, I've worked as a newspaper and magazine writer, designer and editor since 1998. I have created electronic presentations, videos and I dabble in website design. I've managed staffs of as many as 20 fellow journalists. Additionally, I have experience with tasks such as assignment editing, photo direction and project management.

Always one to emphasize visuals, I participated in two newspaper redesigns, one of which is ongoing, and I created original design languages for numerous targeted-audience publications.

My newspaper design work has been recognized more than once by Newseum and praised by noted visual journalist Charles Apple. I also have won the following honors:
