Hello! I am Catherine Tieu, licensed paralegal and legal support professional.

I was most recently employed as a Triage Coordinator with Pro Bono Ontario. I managed the Law Help centre based at the Toronto Small Claims Court. This centre, which functions as the duty counsel office within the court, caters to assist low-income, self-represented litigants. It is the only dedicated Small Claims help centre of its kind throughout the GTA.

As a paralegal, I focus in civil litigation. The areas of law I find most interesting are contract law, tort law, and employment law. However, I am also interested in learning about areas of law that may fall outside the paralegal scope of practice, such as regulatory/compliance law and intellectual property law.

I graduated with high honours from the Accelerated Paralegal diploma program at Seneca College's School of Legal and Public Administration, Newnham Campus, in 2017. I was licensed by the Law Society of Ontario in 2018.

In the past, I have excelled as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at CIBC. In this role, I consistently exceeded performance goals and even earned a coveted spot on the DVP Club, which celebrates the top 10% of CSR's in the competitive York Region District.

I am based in downtown Toronto and open to legal support roles throughout the Greater Toronto Area that offer room for professional growth. If you'd like to discuss an opportunity with me, please feel free to reach out.
