As a communicator from the time she was nine-months-old (her first words were “hi, there”), Catherine Merritt prides herself on telling stories, whether it’s to my friends and family or on behalf of some of the largest brands in the world. As a communicator from the time she was nine-months-old (her first words were “hi, there”), Catherine brings forth passion to reach people through many outlets and channels in the most unique and effective way. Specifically, she’s leveraging social media as the vehicle in achieving this.

Recognized for her role in driving and developing social online strategy and programming, Catherine has received recognition and been touted as a “social media leader” and someone “who gets ‘it’” by Peter Shankman as well as other industry leaders. Catherine’s innovative and dedicated approach consistently produces outstanding results for her clients.

In her current position, Catherine has had the opportunity to bring her social media abilities to clients such as ConAgra, WhiteWave Foods, Serta, Friskies, Kimberly Clark, and Kellogg’s. Prior to joining Ketchum, Catherine pioneered social media for Morton’s Restaurant Group, a leader in the fine-dining segment and a recognized innovator for its strong social media presence.
