Our organization was created with the goal of reducing the suffering of homeless cats born outside, who live short, brutal lives. We provide cats with food, shelter and health care and seek to find good permanent homes for those that can be socialised. We also seek to reduce the population of homeless cats through sterilization programs, and by attempting to prevent the birth of litters in unsafe conditions. We are a no-kill shelter. We keep healthy adoptable cats alive as long as it takes for them to be adopted. We are a foster-based rescue; we do not have a main shelter facility. We focus on outdoor rescues, cats and kittens either born or abandoned outside. Our rescued cats and kittens are vaccinated, sterilized, treated with parasite prevention, tested for infectious diseases, treated for any illness or injury they may have when rescued.

We have approximately 100 cats at foster homes throughout the greater Montreal area at any given time. All of our cats are automatically and immediately vaccinated for calici, panleuk, and rhino upon rescue, except in the case of nursing kittens, in which case they are kept separate in a safe drop until old enough for vaccines. Until their vaccine and boosters have "maxed out," they do not enter foster homes with other cats or foster homes where there has been feline illness. All cats in our rescue are sterilised. All of our cats go through a course of deworming and anti-parasite treatments. Our adoption fee of $175 goes toward veterinary treatments, but does not cover them fully. Donations from kind supporters are absolutely vital to our work.
