I've been a technology journalist since 2001. I have led at least two digital journalism projects in Guatemala at Prensa Libre and elPeriódico. Technology is, as a user and as a journalist, my passion.

While supporting Sourcefabric in the Latin American region I was able to evangelize about free software for the media. I also teach young students about technology applied to communication at the Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala city.

I co founded a media project called Laboratorio de Medios and early in 2014 I became the Digital Editor for Nuestro Diario. During the same year I also started working to reactivate the Hacks/Hackers-Guatemalan Chapter community.

In October 2014 I became Editor in Chief to Diario Digital, a media outlet done by and oriented to millennials. As of March 2015 I advised Grupo A (Canal Antigua, Revista ContraPoder and Diario Digital) in matters of digital strategy until January 2017.

My big project during 2017 is Suricatta.Studio.
