A Rhetoric and Writing Studies PhD candidate at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), my interests include photography, graffiti, and other forms of visual expression and rhetorical theory, including materials and systems. Communication and technology interests include social media, blogs, pop culture, and other types of online compositions and report writing. I teach Technical Writing and First Year Composition. Lifelong interests include photography, drawing, calligraphy, needleart and surface embellishment, fashion and fashion history.

chacal (la chaise) derives from my favorite police procedural: The Day of the Jackal (1973), and that I usually write sur la chaise. The quarter mandala design is at the heart of a personal branding experiment begun in 2005.
