Charles Thor

A contradiction of sorts, I am a banker who advises against too much debt, a lover of food and drink who dislikes gluttony, an avid traveler who enjoys the routine of home, I am an outdoorsman who lives in the city, a runner and cyclist and overall adventurer in life.

I am a corporate banker who specializes in working with businesses and corporations to create, improve and grow their wealth and businesses by using banking products, especially international cash management, loans and credit facilities, foreign exchange, and trade finance solutions...just to name a few.

The flavors of fresh food, the aromas of the kitchen from the 3 star Michelin restaurant to the street vendor and everything in between are some of my greatest loves. I soak in the smell of fresh produce at the market and savor the taste of the ripe harvest. I plan lunch during breakfast and dinner during lunch, and will travel just for the adventure of a specialty food dish.

I enjoy travel to no end, especially off the beaten track places that allow me to wander in the streets and get lost in local bazaars. Yet I appreciate the touristy sites that became popular for a reason. I like the sense of wonder and novelty that is created by discovering and exploring different places.

The smell, the sounds, and the beauty enormity of the outdoors has always drawn me to it, whether it be for a short hike or a long outdoor adventure in a remote locale. The flick of a fish on the end of my line, the smell of pine in the afternoon, the crackle of a fire and the sound of a creek all put a smile on my face. I am constantly humbled and awed by the outdoor world.

All of these things and my many other hobbies including running, cycling, scuba diving and many more give me a sense of curiosity and joy that provides fodder for the next adventure.
