Once I was challenged to give an impromptu "elevator pitch" describing myself in less than 30 seconds.

Answer: I graduate in December 2012 with a B.A. in Political Science and minor in Journalism. I am an admittedly obsessed news junkie and read Perez Hilton far too often. Telling stories is my passion and I plan to turn that enthusiasm into a successful career. Life is a journey and I fully intend on conquering my destination.

                                                                                                                       

I have a go-getter attitude and absolutely thrive in a newsroom and love the energy of being a reporter. I am fascinated by current events, popular culture, entertainment, and style. I love creatively brainstorming editorial pieces, but also passionate about using my voice to help others. 

I have extensive experience in and out of the classroom. I'm a former news intern at Seventeen magazine, reporting intern at WBOY-TV, current lifestyle/events reporter for The Columns newspaper and staff member of Fairmont State University publications. I also write for College Lifestyles and Pink and Black web. I bring a fun, unique spin to journalism and strive to think creatively and stay ahead of "what's next" in the industry.
