Born and raised in Miami,FL & of Jamaican descent, Cherri started buzzing from an early age. As a young girl she would pretend to be a news anchor and a radio announcer. Bringing news to everyone was her passion.

In 2006, "Cherri" was born when she became a photographer for South Florida party website, Maddhott.com. She used this position to network and get her name out in the South Florida caribbean industry. After a year of covering different events, she became a board member of Maddhott.com. Her positions included web content management and also leading the "Hott Model of the Month" contest where she scouted South Florida models to participate in the contest. After giving birth to her twin girls, Cherri decided to part ways with her Maddhott family and pursue the entertainment industry.

Being involved in many projects, Cherri became interested in the Public Relations field. In 2009 she attended the Professional Public Relations 101 (PPR 101) conference in Miami, FL founded by the late Chiquita "Chiq" Simms. As a volunteer, she showed initiative over the other volunteers and became Chiq's assistant during the conference. She took this chance to work closely with Chiq and learn the PR field. After a brief Q&A with Ms. Simms and a few follow up emails, Cherri became the Junior Publicist and representative for talent in the state of Florida for Chiq's company, Divadend Entertainment. Being thrown into this position, Cherri quickly learned the PR field with no formal education. Cherri's accounts included Da Pretty Boyz and also assisted in PR work with comedian, Jay Anthony Brown. Chiquita Simms passed away Christmas Day 2010.

After the death of Chiq, Cherri decided to take her education and experience and become a freelance PR and Manager. While working with many South Florida projects including the 1st-3rd Annual Reggae Award Show, Cherri was also known on social media as the buzzer of different sales and other valuable information when it came to saving money. She decided to become a consumer blogger and this is when TheBuzzConnect.com was born which has now been transformed to a lifestlye blog touching on topics like product reviews, event coverage and overall lifestlye topics.

Currently, Cherri is the PR rep and manager for South Florida radio personality, Papa Keith and Tampa, FL hip-hop artist and producer, Jinx. She is also launching her Wedding & Event planning business, May 2013.
