Chris Kurtz

SysAdmin, Recreationist, Geek

Systems Manager at the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University.  I'm not a rocket scientist, but I work for them.

I've worked on three Mars Missions for NASA/JPL: the TES Spectrometer onboard Mars Global Surveyor, the THEMIS IR/VIS Camera onboard Mars Odyssey, and the MiniTES Spectrometer onboard the Mars Rovers Spirit and Opportunity

Currently supporting the THEMIS and MiniTES Instruments as well as JMARS, a Java-based geospatial information system used for mission planning and scientific data analysis by several NASA missions. I also now support the upcoming OTES spectrometer to be onboard the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample-return mission.
