Chriz Naing was born and raised in Yangon, Burma. He moved to New York City to Film & TV at New York University Tisch School of the Arts with concentrations in directing, editing, and cinematography. He is also a film composer and a science geek (or at least he thinks he is).

A Burmese refugee, Zayar, gets separated from his mother when he escapes from the Burmese military at the Thai border. Under custody of a Buddhist monk, Zayar settles in America together with his younger sister, but faces his fear of never reuniting with his mother again.
