Chriz Naing

Chriz Naing was born and raised in Yangon, Burma. He moved to New York City when he was 18. He is studying Film & TV at New York University Tisch School of the Arts with concentrations in directing, editing, and cinematography. He is also a film composer and a science geek (or at least he thinks he is).

He is currently working on his thesis film, "Zayar."

A traumatized Burmese refugee, Zayar, gets separated from his parents when he successfully escapes the Burmese military at the Thai border. Under custody of a Buddhist monk, Zayar continues his life in America together with his younger brother, but faces bullying at school and is overruled by the fear that he will never be reunited with his parents again. Can the monk show Zayar the way to deal with his fears?
