He has interviewed other health experts such as Timothy Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman. He also published Food for Fat Loss, an online guide for rapidly decreasing body fat through a low-carbohydrate Paleo template.

Previously, Chris Ashenden worked with athletes and laypersons looking to improve their health and performance. He attended the University of Auckland, where he studied sports science. As a child he traveled extensively, and by the time he reached the age of 13 he had visited 43 countries. He continues to enjoy traveling, both for work and pleasure, and his country count now exceeds 60.
