Christopher Davey

Chris heads up an award winning group of creatives, designers, illustrators, animators, writers, creative coders and other talented folk at Whitespace - An Isobar Company, a global creative experience agency based in Edinburgh, Scotland, that looks to create meaningful, crafted, memorable and effective work.

Chris is a creative digital thinker, driven by design and craft. Always looking for new ways to create well-crafted and meaningful work, he works at the intersection of experience design, branding, activation and innovation.

A BIMA Creative Council Member and awards judge for The FWA, AdForum PHNX Awards, The Lisbon Advertising Festival, BIMA 100, The Drum Cream Awards and Marketing Society Awards as well as involvement with Adobe Behance Portfolio Reviews and D&AD New Blood Mixer. In 2021 he was named a Change Maker and one of the UK’s most influential people working in digital and creativity as part of the BIMA 100.

He believes hugely in the next generation of young creative talent and has started and is involved in many initiatives across Scotland and the UK. He is a founding creative partner and director for the incredible Daydream Believers program which is bringing Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Creativity into schools.

As well as spotting award-winning work over the years he has helped Whitespace pick up a fair few themselves across the D&AD’s, LIA's, Lisbon Ad Festival, CreativePool Awards, Scottish Design and Creative awards, The FWAs, The DADIs, Drum Roses awards, and the Marketing Society awards as well as being awarded Scottish Design Agency of the Year an incredible 3 times.

He is a huge fan of open collaboration and ‘just doing it because we can’. Never afraid to fail or challenge, Chris is always looking for the next great idea, whether that is through ground-breaking tech or Play-Doh. He believes the best work comes from trusting great people to work together without fear to make stand out work.
