Christopher Sabato

I have been an assistant coach for the Willamette University cross country and track & field teams since 2005. I work with the cross country team in the fall and coach the pole vaulters and relays in the spring.

Along with my coaching duties at Willamette I also work closely with the sports information office. I manage the athletic department website and contribute design work on media guides and other publications.

During cross country and track & field meets I operate the Finish Lynx timing system. I also am a local Finish Lynx resource for other institutions in the area.

I am an avid photographer. My primary genre is sports photography and many of my images are used in Willamette University publications. Fine art photography is a hobby that I am very passionate about as well. I share my best photographs on flickr. As an organizer for the Salem Digital Photography Group I try to share my knowledge of photography and technology in general.

Along with photography, web design is a hobby than spans both my personal and professional lives. Besides the Willamette Athletics website I have designed and manage many small websites including this site. More information on my website design services can be found at Buffalo Grafix.

I attended Alfred University in Alfred, New York, graduating in 2002 with a degree in electrical engineering. After working for a year at Alstom Signaling in Rochester, New York, I transitioned to a career in coaching. I started my coaching career at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where I spent two years coaching the sprints and jumps before taking my current position at Willamette.
