I am a connected educator who is dedicated to rethinking how we view education and what it means to be educated. I strive to help students to become curious, joyful, resilient learners. In 2012, I co-founded Edcamp Baltimore, and over the years, I have presented regionally at conferences such as the Association of Independent Maryland Schools (AIMS) Technology Retreat and nationally at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Annual Conference, The Association of Independent School Librarians (AISL) Annual Conference, and the TESOL International Convention. I hold a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia and an M.A. in English from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since 2003, I have worked at Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, Maryland.
