Lecturer and Writer in Boston, Massachusetts

I'm a Lecturer at the American University of Armenia (AUA). In 2021 I was awarded the Faculty Teaching Excellence Prize.

I am a writer and experimental filmmaker, born and raised near Boston, Massachusetts. I live part of the year in Yerevan, Armenia and maintain two blogs about my experiences there: Notes From Hairenik and Footprints Armenia. I have also been contributing to the Armenian Weekly since 1994.

A short story of mine appeared in Spectrum, an annually published magazine of arts and literature printed by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. My short film Carriage of Dreams debuted at the Third Annual AFFMA Film Festival held in September 2000 in Hollywood, California.

In September 2013 I was a featured speaker at TEDxYerevan. Watch the video

I am currently looking for a literary agent to represent my novel, "A World Without Wings."
