Christian Günther is a researcher at the Department of Digital Humanities at the University of Wuppertal. He studied history and philosophy at the University of Bonn and is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Cologne with a thesis on digital education methods at memorial sites. His research focusses on the history of national socialism, especially on the topics Gestapo, resistance under National Socialism, forced labour and the history education in the digital sphere. Prior to his position at the University of Wuppertal he worked for numerous museums and memorial sites, including the NS-Documentation Center of the City of Cologne. He was involved in several publication projects and exhibitions, such as “Trumpf” (Streb, 2018), “Opposition und Widerstand in Köln 1933-1945” and “Gestapo Köln”.
