Christie Leitzell

Christie is a 20-year-old born and raised Californian who decided to leave the Sunshine State for the “Empire State of Mind” in New York University's Class of 2015. She spends her time in New York studying Film & Television at Tisch School of the Arts, going to numerous concerts, and hoping to run into the band The Morning Benders. (mission accomplished...twice!)

When she returns to her home base in Marin County, CA, she enjoys spending time producing content for the community television channel, not surfing, being an amateur photographer, making music videos with her musically gifted friends, and hiking with her dog Koda on the beautiful Mount Tamalpais.

Christie’s experience behind the camera includes filming & editing two documentaries on non-profit organizations in California, working over 400 hours on student and professional sets in the Spring 2013 semester, and directing & editing videos for NYU's Social & Interactive Media Team, HashtagNYU. In her spare time she goes to class (sometimes). Her ultimate accomplishment, however, is touching Win Butler at an Arcade Fire concert.

Her goals for the future include studying abroad, making a dent on her “NYC Restaurants to Try” list, and becoming a professional director of photography and/or director. Running into Tina Fey and being begged to work on 30 Rock is on the list as well.
