"Sidetracked through Life." Yup that's me. Lots of people, places, jobs - amazing experiences. Underneath all that, bubbling within me has been a yearning for something "more" something of which my dreams are made. My grandmother was an artist and wood sculptor. Her husband and my Grand Dad, gave me my first real camera, an old Canon AE-1 when I was 16. I have hung onto that camera and when it resurfaced in a long-stored box, the lure of photography began calling to me. So a couple years ago, I bought a new camera and started shooting. That was all it took - I finally gave myself the chance to fall in-love: photography and I, well, we make sense. It lets me slip into the world around me. My camera simply allows me to forever grab hold of that which make me breathe a little deeper and feel a little stronger. I know that seems rather simple but it is the truth. Perhaps my favorite stories feature my children in water ("Waterbabies"). These images speak to all that my children are to me and take me back to our most tender moments. Maybe it's the Pisces in me - but water is a haven of emotional fortitude and I love watching the relationship between people and water. I life as I feel it. And in our current rural existence, telling stories and capturing life equates to farms, beaches, roads, and the people and moments in between.

What else? I am a Mom of two kids I love more than words convey. I am loved by and love a good man. I have an amazing family I adore. And my two crazy pugs make me feel as fuzzy inside as they are on the outside. What more could a girl want?
