Christopher Teske

I was originally born in Rome, NY where my father was stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base. After turning one, my parents moved back to Ohio and I have lived here since. I grew up in the small town of Whitehouse before my family moved to Wauseon where my father was working as a police officer. While attending Wauseon High School, I was involved in Swim and Dive Team, Musicals, National Honor Society, and the Future Teachers Of America Club. I had been interested in elementary education after being greatly inspired by my own teachers.

After a busy senior year with college visiting, being swim team captain, and serving as the FTA club president, I finally chose my college institution. I signed my letter of intent to swim for the Eagles of Ashland University. While attending college, I was a member of Phi Delta Theta, National Scholars Honor Society, an RA for the Office of Residence Life and a Tour Guide in the Office of Admissions. I student taught for four semesters before graduating and taking my first job with Springfield Local Schools as a Title One Reading Tutor.

My career with Eagle Academy began in my 2nd year of teaching. In October 2011, I was brought on board as the Title One Math Teacher. I worked hard to strengthen the RTI program and help make administrative tasks more efficient and streamlined. I enjoyed working with my K-5 students, and helped them gain a better understanding of difficult math concepts.

After spending 2 years with Eagle Academy, my husband and I moved to Indiana where he had acquired a job with IUPUI. It was a great opportunity for him and brought many unanswered questions for myself. That summer, in 2013, I interviewed at many schools around the Indianapolis area. I was lucky enough to get a job in one of the highest rated disctricts in Indiana. I started working for Noblesville that fall and I couldn't be happier. The school, staff, parents and students are more than anything I could have asked for and I was lucky enough to be teaching 2nd grade. I look forward to hopefully teaching here in Noblesville until the day I retire!
