Christopher Tynes is a seasoned aviation professional who has nearly 20 years of experience working with various commands and detachments in the Navy. As an electronic warfare and information operations deputy division officer, Christopher Tynes is responsible for developing policies that will be used in operational planning by the information warfare commander. In 2011, he graduated from the Joint Air Operations Command and Control Course offered by the U.S. Air Force at Hurlburt Field, Florida.

Aside from his military responsibilities, Tynes is also busy pursuing graduate studies in international public policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. His primary focus is on strategy and policy formation from a defense and intelligence viewpoint. As the University's community relations chairperson, he is also deeply committed to enhancing the relationship between the greater Johns Hopkins community and the Washington, D.C. area.

An avid sportsman and traveler, Christopher Tynes likes outdoor activities. He has traveled to numerous countries in Asia, Central America, and Europe. He plays softball and football, and also enjoys hiking and backpacking.
