Christy Tillery French

Powell, TN

Born and raised in the South, award winning, internationally published author and poet Christy Tillery French loves to write about quirky Southern women. Her books include: Chasing Horses, Wayne's Dead, Chasing Demons, Chasing Secrets, The Bodyguard series: The Bodyguard, The Bodyguard and the Show Dog, The Bodyguard and the Rock Star, The Bodyguard and the Snitch, The Bodyguard and the Bodyguard, and Obsolete. She co-writes the Appalachian Journey series (Whistling Woman, Moonfixer, Beloved Woman) with her sister CT Hodges under the pseudonym CC Tillery. Her short story Investigator Incarnate was published in the anthology Cats in a Dreamspell. She contributed five recipes to Killer Recipes, a cookbook donating proceeds to the American Cancer Society. Coming books: The Bodyguard and Bridezilla and Immortal Harvest. Christy's books have won several awards and have been chosen by numerous book clubs across America as their Book of the Month. In addition, each has been placed with the McClung Historical Collection of the East Tennessee Historical Center as part of the local and genealogical history of East Tennessee. Her poetry has been published in America and England. She was recently listed in the book 50 Great Writers You Should be Reading. Christy presently serves on the Board of Directors of Tennessee Mountain Writers. She co-owns two small businesses in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband and is an online reviewer for Midwest Book Review. Christy is a volunteer with Wolf Creek Weimaraner Rescue and donates proceeds from her book sales to this group as well as the local animal shelter. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, the Guppies, Tennessee Mountain Writers, Knoxville Writers Guild, High Country Writers, and Tennessee Writers Alliance.
