Chris Windfelder

Chris Windfelder began his academic career at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Studying in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication, Chris Windfelder earned recognition on the Dean’s list en route to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Communication. Shortly after obtaining his degree, Chris Windfelder relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he served as a Market Maker for FreeMarkets, Inc. In this position, Chris Windfelder gained vast insight into supply chain management as he completed extensive international eSourcing projects with a focus on metals and facilities management. In 2002, Chris Windfelder left FreeMarkets to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Loyola University Chicago. He graduated in two years with Beta Gamma Sigma, Inc. honors and subsequently accepted a management position with A.T. Kearney, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. As a manager, Chris Windfelder acted as the lead consultant on sourcing category engagements, maintaining contact with senior client executives, and constantly working to exceed goals and sourcing expectations. He received a promotion to Senior Manager in 2006, assuming more responsibility for category sourcing and garnering experience with new clients in pharmaceuticals, construction, automotives, and other wide-ranging industries. In 2007, Chris Windfelder took over as a Director with A.T. Kearney, Inc., a position he still holds today. Throughout his time as a Director, Chris Windfelder has worked with numerous clients, including seven months of on-site collaboration on a consulting project in South Africa. Recognized as an authority on supply chain management, Chris Windfelder produced the Project Management course of the Harvard Management Mentor Series and created the “Managing Change for Success” webinar. He also maintains active membership in the Institute for Supply Management and the Sourcing Interests Group.
