Charles Kyte advises many local, regional and global interests on homeland security, biodiplomacy, biomedical research, environmental concerns, and healthcare management issues. Among his responsibilities are planning for the future healthcare needs of the American workforce and helping agencies improve health and human resources management and human capital practices. He has worked with the Harvard University School of Public Health (Boston, MA), Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York, NY), and the Schering Plough Research Institute (NYSE: SGP) on a number of health research agendas related to cancer, nutrition, metabolism, infectious disease, and drug development . He has also influenced pharmacogenomic research which has tremendous impact on the future of genetically tailored drug design and customized medicine.

Charles Kyte has served on the Board of Directors of the Public Health Association of New York City (PHANYC). Before serving as a PHANYC BOD, Charles Kyte was the Chairperson of Student/Consumer Affairs for the American College Health Association. In this capacity, Charles Kyte played an instrumental role in the passage of the 1996 Kennedy-Kassebaum Act, which ensures access to health coverage for an estimated 25 million Americans who move from one job to another, are self-employed, or have pre-existing medical conditions. He has also served as advisor to the University of Southern California’s Student Health Centers and its executive leadership, as well as the University’s minority affairs departments.
