Clay Gordon

Business Consultant, Published Author, and Cocoa and Chocolate in New York

I am the author of Discover Chocolate (Gotham Books, 2007), and the creator and moderator of TheChocolateLife.com, an on-line community for chocophiles and aspiring chocophiles. With more than 10,000 members in over 160 countries, TheChocolateLife is the largest purposeful community for cocoa and chocolate in the world.

I "discovered" chocolate in 1994 and started writing about chocolate as a professional chocolate critic in 2001 as the editor and publisher of (the now retired) chocophile.com.

Since 2001 I have amassed a media CV that includes appearances on Oprah, Food Network, History Channel, the Diane Rehm and Leonard Lopate radio shows (NPR), Martha Stewart Living Radio, and in the pages of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, People, Shape, The Robb Report, Chocolatier, Dessert Professional, and many others.

When I am not writing about chocolate I lead tasting programs and events, consult to chocolatiers, chocolate makers, cocoa bean growers, and governments, and I organize and lead chocolate-themed international travel programs.
