Clayton Mathewson

fAlthough Clayton Mathewson maintains a thriving consulting and teaching business, he also prioritizes giving back to his community and supporting charities that benefit people and organizations in Washington and Oregon. Clay Mathewson supports the Parent Teacher Association of his daughter’s school in Vancouver, Washington. He also donates generously to Goodwill Industries International, Inc., the Washington State Firefighter Association, and organizations that help the homeless in the Vancouver, Washington, area.

Professionally, Clayton Mathewson Ph.D holds nearly 25 years of experience guiding people in relational and health issues in Vancouver. He applies his skills to aid groups, couples, and individuals, helping them create positive self-images, cultivate healthy relationships with others, and remove mental stumbling blocks that hamper these processes. Clayton Mathewson also strives to get to the root of his patients’ core feelings and help them identify those that promote healthier responses. An expert in masculine archetypal psychology, Clayton Mathewson has facilitated various mens' groups around the Vancouver area for almost 20 years. A lifelong student of his field, he continues his education by studying current research and trends in the field of relational depth, in an effort to increase positive outcomes for his clients.

Clayton Mathewson attended the University of Idaho in Moscow to earn his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He obtained a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and College Instruction from Eastern Washington University and next gained admittance to the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California, where he received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology and Mythology.
