Cloe Shasha Brooks is a writer, editor, and host. She is a TED Curator, where she does research to find unique speakers for TED’s stage, video, and podcast programs. As a part of that role, she writes and edits TED Talks and coaches speakers on delivery in a variety of fields, with an international focus on culture, society, literature, and humor. She has worked with over 500 TED speakers, diving deep into their research to help them develop their narrative arcs and communicate their ideas with clarity, nuance, and impact. Cloe also conducts interviews, hosts conference sessions, oversees TED’s pool of speaker nominations, and runs TED's global idea searches.

Cloe graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in cognitive psychology, and wrote a year-long thesis on designing educational testing to strengthen long-term memory. She has also contributed articles to ABC News and HuffPost.

Cloe has been interviewed about her work at TED for Forbes Magazine, LinkedIn, Brokelyn, Middlebury Magazine, Apple’s App Store Today tab, the 3 Billion Under 30 book, The Breakthrough Speaker book, the Time4Coffee podcast, and the Unconventional Life podcast. She was featured as one of Go Magazine's "100 Women We Love" in 2020 and on DapperQ's HiFemme list in 2018.

Cloe seeks to bring out our shared humanity among cultural and ideological differences. She cares deeply about providing a platform for ideas from marginalized voices. Outside of her work at TED, Cloe loves cooking for family and friends, dancing, playing music, and exploring the great outdoors. She grew up in New York City and Paris, and currently lives in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley with her spouse, daughter, and their (too) many houseplants.
