I am an all-around geek, and a well-rounded one at that. Ever since I was a small kid I have been fascinated with the internal workings of things; particularly electronics and computers. I have always had the ability to learn everything about something by simply getting my hands on it. All of my teenage years were spent collecting second-hand computer hardware, fixing and building computers and learning how they worked. My wife still lets me do this, and has even let me set up a small server cloud in the basement.

While I used to spend all of my spare time working with hardware, I discovered that programming is where my real talent lies. I began doing web design 10 years ago, and also started writing modifications for games about the same time. Discovering that passion led me to dive in and teach myself PHP, JavaScript, Java, etc. I've taken some courses at the local Applied Technology College in relevant things such as C++, but I've found I learn much better through practical application!

When I'm not working, my passion is my family. Yep...I've become one of those "family men." And despite Blake's harsh words about family men in the famous "Coffee is for Closers" monologue in "Glengarry Glen Ross," I wouldn't have it any other way! The second I'm done with work I'll do just what he said and go home and play with my kids and treasure every last second of it!
