Chicago, Los Angeles,

Hi, I'm Coleman Patrick Ranahan. In December 2012 I graduated from Columbia College of Chicago with a degree in screenwriting. I also wrote, directed, and co-starred in my first feature film entitled LOST SIGNALS. The film is now done and being entered into film festivals across the country.

I have held positions on many student projects while at Columbia College and have worked professionally in the industry since 2010 as a production assistant for Amarok Production's film I Heart Shakey, CBS, ESPN, Biography Channel, The CW, and just recently for IFC Midnight and Boulderlight Productions.

My future plans include directing another feature within the next couple of years, and possibly dabbling in the dark arts of stand up comedy.

I am experienced in more than one form of media. In 2008 I was an intern at WRHL 1060 AM in Rochelle, IL. I lent my voice to commercials and was also responsible for editing them in Adobe Audition. Inspired by the radio profession and my love for TechTV, I ran The Coleman Ranahan Podcast from 2008-2011. The podcast was a mix of film reviews and comedy sketches. The podcast was eventually discontinued so that I could focus on my film work. I also have experience in Adobe InDesign as I was responsible for the college newspaper at Kishwaukee Community College.

I studied improv briefly at Second City of Chicago, I was terrible at it. I'm more of a stand up comedy kind of guy. I also studied theatre - Stanislavksy - under Nadine Franklin at Kishwaukee College from 2008-2009.
