I'm a scholar, musician, martial artist, and teacher. My research looks at the intersections of music and martial arts.

More broadly, I'm interested in the meanings of relationships between sound and movement.

Under the pseudonym Ronin E-Ville, I work as a DJ/producer. I also compose electro-acoustic music, and particularly enjoy working with choreographers and dancers.
