Retired Officer, U.S. Army and Army Reserves, Colonel, Infantry, with over 33 Years of military service and 20 Years of job experience in Civilian Manufacturing.

Last Military assignment - Army’s Medical Evacuation Team Chief from January 2008 through July 2010. Responsible for leading a team that tracks and assists Wounded Warriors during their transition from combat locations back to US Hospitals. Recognized for superior leadership in caring for Wounded Warriors. Serve as an advocate to promote the Wounded Warrior Mission and I conduct presentations at events to educate people on this important topic.

Combat tour as a fully embedded Transition Team Leader with Iraqi forces. Responsible for training over 20,000 Iraqi forces. Training areas included medical, transportation, maintenance, administration, leadership, communications and basic soldier skills. Highest Military Awards: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, MSM and Army Commendation Medal.

Civilian Work Experience.

Central Region Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Performance Excellence Practitioner for the WestRock Company. Providing Direct Performance Excellence Support to Central Region facility level leadership that is focused on Continuous Improvement.

Business Unit Quality Manager for the RockTenn / WestRock Company with coverage in the Montgomery and Alabama area. Management oversight for Product Quality, production throughput, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, process capabilities and safety / environmental adherence.

Plant Production Management, Georgia-Pacific Corporation for over 13 years. Supervisor, Process manager, Quality systems oversight manager, Plant Superintendent (Plant manger duties), facility environmental coordinator, facility safety coordinator and maintenance coordinator. Regional Quality system implementation team.

District Scout Executive, York-Adams Area Council, Boy Scouts of America for 3 years. Led an urban emphasis team to improve opportunities for youth. Received the Chief Scout Executive award for performance excellence.
