Corey Wallace

Corey Wallace is the Einstein Postdoctoral Fellow in the Graduate School of East Asian Studies at Freie Universitat, Berlin. He completed his PhD at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Corey has been an exchange researcher at Waseda University and a research fellow at Australian National University. He has a BA (hons) and Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Canterbury, a Graduate Diploma in Japanese Studies from Massey University. In between his Masters and starting his PhD, Corey was a participant on the JET program (2004-2007), and on returning to New Zealand he worked at the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology from 2007-2010 as a policy adviser in the innovation system policy team. Corey has lectured courses on Asia-Pacific, American and Chinese Security and IR at the University of Auckland and the University of Canterbury. Corey spent time in 2011 interning for a current member of the Japanese House of Councillors.
