Cozmin SIME

Romanian baritone Cozmin Sime is a graduate of the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music in Cluj Napoca where he was awarded Master's Degree in music. He has taken part in masterclasses with Tom Krause, Susanna Eken, Sally Burgess, John Norris, Margreet Honigh, Barbara Bonney, Nelly Miricioiu and Alfred Brendel around Europe.He also participated in the Samling masterclasses in the UK.

Born in Oradea, Romania, Cozmin Sime made his debut at the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest as Marcello in La Boheme and performed Nick Shadow in the National premiere of The Rake's Progress at the National Opera of Cluj-Napoca.

He made his International debut as Claudio in Donizetti's Emilia di Liverpool with the European Opera Centre. He performed Schaunard (La Boheme) at the Verbier Festival and participated in the MozartAcademie at Aix-en-provence. He sang Barone di Trombonok (Il Viaggio a Reims) at AccademiaRossiniana, Pesaro and Vlaamse Opera under Maestro Alberto Zedda.

Cozmin's repertoire also includes Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte),Dandini (La Cenerentola) and Belcore (L'elisir d'amore)

Recent and forthcoming engagements with English touring Opera include Onegin (Eugene Onegin),Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Eduardo (L'assedio di Calais) .
