By day, I help companies, organisations and individuals strengthen their communications and protect, manage and defend their reputations.

This can mean helping a senior executive prepare for major announcements or events, advising a small company how to manage the aftermath of a data breach, or helping a multinational firm better understand how it is seen.

My book Managing Online Reputation: How to Protect your Company On Social Media (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015) has been described by a top UK media lawyer as 'the Art of Reputation for the digital age'.

Long fascinated by technology and its impact on business and society, I am an active proponent of strong digital rights and safe, transparent and trustworthy technologies.

I founded and run AIAAIC, an independent, non-partisan, public interest initiative that examines and makes the case for AI, algorithmic, and automation transparency and openness.

I am an RSA Fellow and a member of the European Commission’s European AI Alliance, AI audit organisation ForHumanity and digital rights organisation Open Rights Group.

Outside work, my interests range from reading, writing and politics to music, tennis, cycling, and photography.

I am currently based in London, and travel extensively for work and pleasure, mostly across Europe, the Middle-east and Asia. I was born and worked in Hong Kong and have also lived and worked in Brussels, Madrid and Singapore, with stints in Tokyo and Sydney.
