I'm a family doctor. I take care of folks of all ages and sexes and shapes. My favorite part is delivering babies.

Lately, though, more and more of my time is consumed by the evolution of medical records from files of documentation paperwork to electronic clinical tools which enable us to take better care of our patients. It's in that capacity that I serve as Chief Medical Information Officer of Texas Tech Physicians of Lubbock and as Medical Informaticist for University Medical Center in the same West Texas burg.
