I've been writing about technology since 2008, but my love for the field goes back even further when I began tinkering with the family computer as a young, naive teenager.

Currently, I spend my time writing about smart home stuff for How-To Geek. My work can also be found on GottaBeMobile, SlashGear, Digital Trends, and Lifehacker.

I’m a graduate of Purdue University with a B.A. in Media and Public Communication and a minor in Media Production. I was also a 2011 ACP Online Pacemaker Award finalist during my stint with the university newspaper.

In my free time, you'll usually find me getting my hands dirty with DIY projects, zipping around on my motorcycle, and spending time with my wife. I'm also an aviation geek, a die-hard baseball fan, and a proud introvert.
