Craig Rivera
New York, NY
Craig Rivera has always been interested in covering stories about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. In a recent story, he detailed how 8-year old abduction victim Sarah Grone bravely provided police testimony that put her abductor behind bars for eight consecutive life sentences. Her testimony also helped tie the abductor to many previously unsolved cases.
Additionally, Craig Rivera has reported on many high-profile figures. During his first paying job with ABC News 20/20, he worked with Barbara Walters, John Stossel, Hugh Downs, and his brother Geraldo over an eight-year stretch. He produced reports on celebrities such as Sir Paul McCartney, Barbara Streisand, Paul Simon, and Hall and Oates. When he moved on to Inside Edition, he produced a series titled “Getting Out Alive” that included segments on what to do if your house catches fire, how to escape from your car when it is submerged in water, and how to survive a shark attack.
More recently, Craig Rivera has traveled to Afghanistan and Iraq dozens of times since 9/11. He and his Fox News Channel team were the first western journalists in Tora Bora, Afghanistan, where Osama Bin Laden was cornered before he managed to escape. He is currently a Senior Producer and Correspondent for the Fox News Channel.
