In high school I was really an exciting kid. I would sit around at home and read manuals and reference books. One summer I read The Complete FreeBSD and FreeBSD Unleashed. When I was introduced to programming class I would get into trouble because I wanted to see what would happen if I put something in this forbidden memory location.

Now that I'm an official grown up I do less exciting, but far more productive things. I primarily automate business processes. Second to that I do minor systems administrating, database work, and some good old fashioned web development.

If I'm not having fun with computers then I'm probably having a beer at Black Star Coop, the worlds first cooperatively owned and operated brew pub. I really believe in their worker treatment model and the idea that a business can be successful and still pay a fair living wage.
