I began crocheting as a child when my grandmother taught me how to do a basic chain. Thoughout the years I played around here and there but never made more than scarves and one peice blankets.

When my best friend was expecting her first baby I wanted to make her something that her daughter could keep and use her entire life so I decided that I was going to make her a blanket. My love of crochet was reborn and I went on to teach myself how to make more than just glorified squares.

I never crocheted from a pattern, a lot of my work was frogged as I taught myself how to crochet from pictures. Eventually I did teach myself how to read a pattern and went on to design my own.

I began toying with the idea of blogging in the summer of 2012 but it wasn't until October of 2012 that I started really putting an effort into my blog. Since then I have grown a tremdous amount and have been on the road to making all my dreams come true.

I recently became the official crochet designer of a fantastic yarn company, Darn Good Yarn. DGY makes all of their yarns from completly reclaimed materials, helping to save the planet one hank of yarn at a time.

I am also extremely enviromentally concious and have started a new blog on natural living and parentng. www.cre8tiveliving.com
