CrossFit Norwalk

CrossFit Norwalk, a new facility located at 2 Broad Street in Norwalk, Connecticut, is owned and operated by Susan Friedman. The family of gyms embraces a strength and conditioning program with constantly changing movements performed at high intensity. The specific focus can vary from one CrossFit gym to another, but the objective is always geared toward a supportive, innovative approach to good physical health.

Susan Friedman opened CrossFit Norwalk to provide a welcoming workout atmosphere for average people and athletes alike. Friedman is a CrossFit Trainer certified in Olympic lifting, power lifting, strongman, rowing, coaches prep, and movement and mobility. With a staff of other certified trainers, each with specialties as well as common areas of expertise, CrossFit Norwalk has something to offer everyone who walks through its door. Members exercise in a large, open area with plenty of room for running, jumping, lifting, and other activities.

Classes at the Norwalk gym begin with group warm-up and instruction, and certified trainers always oversee workouts, ensuring that members perform exercises correctly. Safety, close supervision, and the support that comes from camaraderie and shared goals all help make this gym different from traditional health clubs. Members truly enjoy a sense of community, and Friedman emphasizes that people of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Friedman's gym designs workouts to be fun, but they are also intensive and geared toward maximum results. There is also opportunity for competition; CrossFit Norwalk was the proud host of the 2012 Northeast Masters Tournament, in which women and men over age 40 participated.
