Chad A. Stevens, Ph.D., has dedicated his career to improving education outcomes for all students, and he continues to do so as the Chief Strategy Officer at ParentSquare. Prior to ParentSquare Chad was Leader, K-12 Education at Amazon Web Services building their initial K-12 business and Chief Education Strategist for CDW-G leading a team of former educators focused on maximizing customer “return on education.”

In his role at AWS Chad was the inaugural K-12 employee launching in 2016. Other highlights were architecting the AWS program to reach more Educational Service Agencies and launching the global data egress waiver for K-12. In 2019 he led the relationship for AWS with Code.org. This effort reached millions of students in 180 countries and was reported by the Code.org to be “technically flawless.” Chad was also involved in the Driving K-12 Innovation Global Advisory Board. This board of K-12 leaders, practitioners, and change makers engaged discourse about the major themes driving, hindering, and enabling teaching and learning innovation at schools.

In his role at CDW-G, he helped launch Collaboration Nation, an program that recognized the nation's finest examples of collaboration in K-12 educational technology, and The K-12 Connected Heat Map, which shows the current classroom connectivity state by state. In addition he co-founded #ConnectIT, an EdTech thought leadership blog. Before joining CDW-G he worked at Dell as a senior consultant focused on IT transformation and strategy for K-20 institutions across North America.

A majority of his career was spent with the Clear Creek Independent School District (Texas). CCISD serves more than 41,000 students in suburban Houston and encompasses the Johnson Space Center. Dr. Stevens, a former teacher of the year at Ed White Elementary in Seabrook, Texas, had a 14 year career as Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Instructional Technology and CTO. His work was featured in The Principal’s Guide to Curriculum Leadership and he regularly speaks at EdTech conferences. He maintains Superintendent Certification in Texas.

Chad serves on the Board of CoSN (the Consortium for School Networking) and is Board Chair of the Indian Prairie Education Foundation. He holds a B.S. from Tarleton State University, a M.S. in Educational Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
