Montaione, Tuscany, Italy

The central Italian region of Tuscany has always been home to royalty. This is the land of the Medici’s, home of the renaissance movement, territory of kings, queens and impressive castles that pop up on every notable hilltop. Here no matter the season, colour is everywhere. Cobalt blue skies contrast expressively against solitary Cyprus tree’s that lead up to earthy coloured farmhouses with dark green shutters.

Eye catching swathes of colourful flowers catch the eye around every turn of windy narrow roads.

This country is made for horseback adventures.

Castellare di Tonda estate; once the property of the noble Florentine family ‘Strozzi’ during the renaissance period is now entirely dedicted to responsible tourism. Horse play a huge part in the estate, though now rather than breeding fine coursiers; the estate breeds Quarter and Paint horses, and runs riding holidays though the Tuscan countryside.
