Marie-Michelle Strah
Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, and Risk Management in New York
Dr. Strah is and adjunct professor in the International Criminal Justice BA and MA programs at CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice and won the 2022 Distinguished Teaching Prize at the college. She is a Past Scholar in the John Jay Center for International Human Rights in artificial intelligence. She won the 2021 Digital Innovation award at John Jay College for her course on disinformation, cybercrime and extremist violence and is the 2021-2022 Online Faculty Fellow in the office of the Provost.
She's US Army veteran with over 20 years’ experience in cybersecurity, cybercrime, digital transformation, data security, governance and compliance for public and private sector entities. She has provided executive and cabinet level advisory services worldwide through global consulting positions.
A recognized expert in the field of disinformation and the terror-crime nexus, her current research and practice covers disinformation and financial fraud, cyber-enabled crimes, emerging extremist threats and the ethics of artificial intelligence in international crime and justice.
