Daryl has taught languages and social sciences since 1988 at high schools in Montreal. Her special passion is teaching philosophy to teenagers and helping them connect their own 'big questions' to the school curriculum in general and to the social sciences in particular.

Daryl continues to follow her first love; teaching in the classroom and at the same time is the Director of Innovation in Teaching and Learning at West Island College. She is also an ed tech coach for the school. Daryl is committed to providing connected and authentic learning experiences for all students. She curates resources for teachers as well as many Diigo groups.

Daryl has always been a change agent but today, more than ever, she feels the urgency for reform. Students, teachers, administrators and parents need to think deeply about learning and teaching in the 21st century. She believes in her students and in their desire to be lifelong learners. She welcomes opportunities to ask the 'big questions' of our education system and especially to connect with change agents.
