Damian is the Carolyn S. Chambers Professor in Journalism at the University of Oregon.
He has 20+ years experience in creative, strategic, research, teaching and policy roles across Digital/Online, TV and Radio in the UK, Middle East and USA.
Damian is a regular contributor to media outlets such as the BBC, CBS Interactive (ZDNet), Digital Content Next, The Huffington Post, IJNet and What's New in Publishing, writing about social media, the business of media, as well as digital and tech developments in the Middle East.
Damian is also a Fellow of Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Cardiff University's School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC).
